Passing thru Dunnigan, CA. Beautiful sunflower fields. Temps have been around the 105. We hope we are heading in to cooler climate.

Awe the San Francisco bay area! We are staying at the So. San Francisco Elks. Cool weather prevails!! yeah!

Today we woke up, after rain thru the night, with still light rain off and on and headed in to the city.

We went to the California Academy of Sciences museum. This is the one with a living roof and many fun exhibits. Not sure if kids are out of school and summer camp has started or end of year field trips? The kids were everywhere. Really cool museum though. A must if you are in SF.

Here are some of the sites inside.

Golden Gate Park.

Japanese Tea Garden Gate

Golden gate in the distance.

Clam chowder for lunch.

Downtown traffic.

We drive thru the town of Colma on our way from So. SF to the city. Colma is the town of the dead. Their motto, It's good to be alive in Colma. We didn't really know much about this town, but driving down one street we passed one cemetery after another! So upon reading about it, the population is 1,500 with 1.5 million buried! Around 1914 San Francisco's politicians evicted the dead from the city. They were all moved to this area. A number of religions are represented here and a pet cemetery too. Pretty weird driving by!
