We left Vancouver and headed to Hope with a stop at an Ecodairy along the way. They have 55 cows who live in this barn all the time. They are fed, brushed, and milked automatically.
The girls can eat when they want.
Here they are waiting to be milked. There is a transponder around each of their necks which tells the robot that milks them which cow it is. They all have names too, named after each of the schools in the area. Amazing spot!
Next we stopped at Hope. Quiant little town. Mom and I drove around the town. There are chain saw sculptures on about every corner.
We stayed in Hope one night. The wind blew, rain came, then hail. By 10:00 the next morning the sun came out and we decided we should head out. So off we went to Osoyoos. Beautiful Lake. That is a vacation spot for the summer or warmer months. Huge lake. Warmest spot in BC. First for fruit to ripen. Lots of apple and grape vines.
