Oregon

Roaming continues.  Last night we stayed at Seven Feathers Casnio, dry camping. Which means we were in a big parking lot with a number of other travelers. All in a variety of campers, big to small morothomes and trailers. Talked with a guy who retired from Orange County and Jack ran in to a guy who recognized him from working on fires. Mom & I spent a little time in the casino. Jack walked down the river to fly fish. Didn't catch anything and we didn't bring home money bags...
We arrived in Salem, Oregon's capital, today. We are at the Elk's lodge here. Mom and I went in to look around town and the capital. We stopped a young man at the capital who gave us our own tour. He is a volunteer who gives kids tours of the capital.  Pretty interesting and quite friendly.
Cherry trees are blossoming and many other trees. I never knew there were pink dogwoods but I have a great picture of one of those blooming. Beautiful...
No rain for the last few days, but quite cool. I think rain is coming though...when I get pictures on the computer I'll post those.

Cherry blossoms.
All the flowers blooming up here really are beautiful. With the grayness of the skies from rain looming, the blossoms seem to stand out even more!
