More Mt. Vernon, Wa.

So, I posted a few of the pictures of the wonderful gardens we saw yesterday. We went to RoozenGaarde tulip fields. Because of such a warm, mild winter they began blooming very early this year. Yes they were at their peak a few weeks ago. But with as wonderful as the field that was still blooming looked, we can only imagine how beautiful the display was in full bloom. We loved seeing all the wonderful types of tulips. I will have to order some for home!
Today we went to the street fair in Mt. Vernon. It was great. Lots of crafts and food items. Then we drove to Bellingham, where my Mom once lived as a child. We found the historical curator there who helped us look up where her school was and a cemetery where her father's parents or grandparents were buried.

We had a really fun day. Saw a lot of the countryside up toward Mt. Baker. Day was quite beautiful. Almost summer temps here. Locals were wearing sandals and short sleeves and quite a few in shorts, including Jack.
Tomorrow off to another adventure. Taking the ferry to Friday Harbor.
