Back in Idaho! Twin Falls

Back to Idaho!

Beautiful rest stop spot for lunch, overlooking the Snake River.

Shoshone Falls, known as the Niagara of the west. Drops 212 feet, 52 feet more than Niagara.

They are doing some construction now and have diverted the river. That is where that bridge looking spot is here.

Yes it's warm! Shorts again!

Normally the falls go all the way across here, and there is a ton of water flowing.

This is what it would look like without the diversion.

Perraine Bridge, 486' above the Snake River. The South side is where Evel Knieval tried to make his jump across the Snake. His parachute malfunctioned and he landed below in the grass.

We watched about 7 base jumpers leap from this bridge. Most landed in the grass with a couple in the water. Can you imagine this being legal in CA? or is it?

A very nice information center is at this site. This note is posted on the window...

Amazing shot (I photographed it inside the info center).
Off we go to Nevada now...We might not have wifi for a while, so if no posts, that is why!)
